At a reception held in The River Lee, Leevale AC acknowledged the selection of its marathon distance athletes for the European T&F Championships and the Olympics.

- Donie Walsh – Olympics – Distance Coach
- Claire McCarthy – European Championships – Half Marathon
- Mark Hanrahan – European Championships – Half Marathon
We also acknowledge Leevale athlete Bryan Keane who has qualified for the triathlon in Rio.
While Michelle Finn has the Olympic standard for the 3K steeplechase, she must wait until the July for the selection on the T&F athletes.
