Leevale’s Lizzie Lee and Mark Hanrahan were among the Irish that travelled to take part in the Highgate Harriers 10K races in London this weekend. Lizzie and Mark both competed in the fastest of the graded races, and these were also used as British trials for the 10000m.
Lizzie was making her debut over this distance on the track and performed very well to finish 13th in 33:32. Mark was also well in the mix in the men’s race, finishing 12th in 29:40.
Meanwhile, at home this weekend the big event on the track was the County Masters T&F Championships.
On the roads, Eric Curran had another good win over a 10K in Youghal, and Carol Finn won a 5K in Doneraile Park.
