The first evening road race of the summer season kicked off in Ballintotis in East Cork with the 4 mile road race. Just over 1000 runners turned out for this race.
Lizzie Lee won the women’s race setting a new course record of 21:22, she was followed home by club-mate Sinead O’Connor in a time of 22:13.
Michael Bruton was the first Leevale man home in third place in a time of 20:54.
