There were strong performances from the Leevale ladies today at Round 2 of the National Indoor Leagues in Athlone. There were good wins for Carol Finn in teh 1500m and Jessica Neville in the 400m. There were strong showings also from Laura Murphy in the 200m and Molly Healy in the high jump, both winning valuable points for the team. Andrea Bickerdike set a new PB in winning the Guest 1500m.
In the men’s competition, David Quilligan did very well to score the maximum 13 points in the 200m. However, with no points scored in the 400m, 1500m, and high jump, the men’s team were always going to be struggling, and now lie 7th after round 2.
