A Sport Psychology workshop will be held on Monday 18th April in CIT. The workshop will start at 7.30pm in the meeting room at the athletics track and is part of a series of 3 and is open to all coaches and athletes.
Sport Psychology focuses on the use of mental skills to improve physical performance. The role of Sports Psychology is to assist athletes / players with their mental fitness e.g. developing confidence, increasing commitment, maintaining self-control and improving concentration.
The course will be given by Candice Kennedy, who is an accredited Sport Psychologist and Professional Member of the Irish Institute of Sport.
