There was a top 5 finish in high class field and another PB for Alex Wright 1:21.17 in the IAAF Challenge, Grande Premio Rio Maior 20K walk in Portugal on Saturday last. This is Alex’s 5th PB in a row.
The Grande Prémio Internacional de Rio Maior em Marcha Atlética is an annual race walking competition that takes place in April in Rio Maior in Portugal. It is an elite level event which features a men’s and a women’s race in the 20 kilometres race walk.
Alex will now spend the next month In Spain warm weather training before returning to compete in the 10K walk at Leevale 2017 on May 6th.
