Alex Wright’s display of world-class form continued at the National Indoor Senior Championships in Abbotstown over the weekend. Having recently finished 2nd at international meets in Slovakia & Spain, Alex returned home to compete in 5k at the national championships. In a display of speed race walking, Alex comfortably won the race dipping under 19 minutes, finishing in a time of 18:59.62.
On Sunday, Dave Tierney competed in the men’s shot putt, taking bronze with a putt of 13.92m, adding to this impressive collection of National Senior medals.
Young Conor Morey competed in the 200m at his first National Senior Championships, setting a new PB of 22.49.
