In Dublin, Lizzie Lee won the 2018 VHI Women’s Mini Marathon with an incredible time of 34:18, followed closely by Laura Shaughnessy from Dundrum South Dublin AC with 34:30, hot on her heels was Siobhan O’Doherty of Borrisokane AC, who finished in 34:55.
Meanwhile, in Cork, Claire Gibbons McCarthy, the reigning Irish Examiner Cork City Half-Marathon champion, defended her title with an outstanding race bringing her home 6:35 ahead of the rest of the pack in 1:16.51.
Leevale finished second in the team relay in 2:21:26.
