Meanwhile in Mannheim there was a superb performance from the Irish U20 Boys 4x100m team, including Leevale’s Conor Morey, in setting a new National U20 record (40.30 ) & World U20 qualifying standard.
Charlie O’Donovan travelled to Loughborough to compete in the 1500m at a BMC meet in the Paula Radcliffe stadium. He set a new PB of 3:47.45 which is a B standard for the World Junior Championships.
