The wait is almost over; the Leevale 2018 juvenile programme will take place this Sunday, April 22nd at CIT Stadium. And the best news, Met Eireann is predicting warm weather, maybe even a heatwave; break out the sun cream.
The comprehensive programme attracts athletes from all over the country. Proceedings will commence at 11am with sprints taking place at the stand side and sprint hurdles at the college side. We are always expanding the juvenile programme and this year for the first time we have included an open juvenile pole vault competition.
The meet incorporates a full programme of sprints, hurdles, middle distance long jump, high jump, pole vault, shot putt, turbo javelin & javelin, and most importantly a tiny tots race.
At 1pm there will be a timed senior open 1500m, so any middle athletes seeking standards take note.
There will be a shop in the stand for drinks, sandwiches and snacks. The Leevale shop will also be open at the stadium, where you can buy any of the Leevale Nike gear and you can get your copy of the Leevale book.
