In the senior event Michelle Finn retained her 5th consecutive title with a super front running display. Leevale women dominated the event with Sinead O’Connor 2nd, Nimah Moore 3rd and Michelle Kenny 4th.
Ryan Creech ran his first cross country race post ankle operations. For the first 2 laps Ryan led a break away trio but faded to a very respectable 3rd place & led the Leevale men to a 2nd place team finish, only just edged out by 1 point by North Cork who won their 1st ever senior title. There was fine running back by Conor McCauley, Donal Coakley & Barry Donovan.
The stand out performer in the juveniles race was Nicole Dinan, who ran up an age, and led the girls U15 to team gold, with Claire Crowley 5th, Maura Hynes McLoughlin 6th and Katie O’Keeffe 7th. Nicole won the race individually and this adds to her U14 individual win & U14 team gold from last week’s day 1 in Liscarroll.
