On the first weekend in February Leevale senior women travelled to Albufeira, Portugal to represent Ireland in the European Clubs Cross Country Championships. The Leevale women finished a very creditable 8th, with Michelle Finn (18), Dylan Hassett (24) , Sinead O’Connor (44), Carol Finn (54), Niamh Moore (58) and Michelle Kenny (63). The team were supported by coach Donie Walsh, Club Coach Tony Shine and Vice President John Callanan.
