The Irish Life Health National Novice and Uneven Age Cross Country Championships at Gowran Park, Kilkenny, on Sunday afternoon (December 5th). Gowran AC hosted a great event in spectacular winter sunshine, which was enjoyed by all who attended.
Once again Leevale took the Novice team title with athletes packed well in the top 20. Gavin O’Rourke led the team home in 10th place, closely followed by Tommy Connolly 11th. Shane Collins cross the line in 15th place with Ben Smith just behind in 16th.
In the BU13 event Luke Merrigan had a very strong race to take second place overall.
