For the second time in the clubs history Leevale men’s and women’s teams take victory at the National Senior Indoor League Final. Leevale are the only club to have achieved this double. This was a fantastic achievement by our junior and senior athletes and their coaches.
Leevale Olympians joined their club mates are the indoor leagues. Louise Shanahan secured maximum points for in the 1500m, crossing the line in first place in an indoor PB time of 4:24:25. Michelle Finn claimed another first place finish for Leevale, taking the 3,000m with a ‘from-the-gun’ performance to cross in 9:05.30. The two-time Olympian switching back to indoor duty having finished 5th at last weekend’s European Club Cross Country Club Championships in Portugal
