Leevale senior women’s team travelled to Oeiras, Portugal over the weekend to compete at the The European Club Champions Club Cup Cross Country. The team lost Michelle Kenny, Lizzie Lee and Carol Finn during the week with injury and covid restrictions, however the strong team of Michelle Finn, Sinead O’Connor and Niamh Moore flew the flag for the club once more at a European Championship.
Michelle Finn ran a stormer of a race to finish in 5th place taking some notable scalps in doing so. Sinead O’Conner crossed the line in 37th with Niamh Moore in 57th.
