Olympians Michelle Finn and Louise Shanahan joined the Leevale squad at the National Senior Indoor Championship last weekend Feb 26th & 27th. Michelle finished second to Sarah Healy in the 3000m. While Louise ran a superb tachicla take to take a comprehensive victory in the 800m.
Conor Callinan shared Gold in the Pole Vault with Matthew Callinan Keenan (St. L. O’Toole AC), with both athletes clearing 4.60m. Una Brice took silver in the women’s Pole Vault with 3.50m
In the men’s long jump Reece Ademola finished second with a jump of 7.40m. While Colin Doyle has a very strong run the men’s 200m to take bronze in a time of 21.60.
Leevale women took silver in the 4x200m relay, in a time 1:41.90 setting a national junior record in the process.
