Lizzie Lee storms to victory in the 2022 Cork City Marathon women’s race in a time of 2h 44m 54s on Sunday, a race that welcomed runners from 100 countries, with 12,000 taking to the streets of Cork. Lizzie was delighted to win in front of her home crowd. She was followed home by club-mates Lorna Wolfe in 7th 2:59:25, Joyce Wolfe 9th in 3:00:54 and Nollaig O’Neill 17th in 3:24:27.
In the men’s race Conor McCauley crossed the line in 5th place in 2:25:44, followed by Donal Coakley in 10th in 2:38:19 and David Comber 37th 2:56:19
In the half marathon, Shane Collins can home 4th 1:11:00, followed by John Shine 1:13:40 and Jonathan 14th 1:14:59.
