Alex Ademola (Leevale AC) is the January winner of the Cork City Sports monthly award. At the National Indoor Combined Events championships, Alex produced a very good score of 4346 points, to take the national junior heptathlon title. Alex displayed his athletic versatility by winning six of the seven disciplines, which took place over a gruelling two days of competition, at the TUS in Athlone.
