Leevale AC wishes to advise members and friends of the confirmed funeral arrangements for our much-loved clubmate, Ciarán Ó Lionáird.
Ciarán will repose at Casey’s Funeral Home, Inchigeela, on Tuesday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, with prayers at 8.00pm.
His Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday at 2.00pm in St. Finbarr and the Holy Angels Church, Inchigeela, followed by burial in the adjoining local cemetery.
Ciarán was an exceptional athlete who proudly represented his club and country with distinction throughout his career. More importantly, he was a valued friend, teammate, and clubman whose warmth, generosity, and character left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
The thoughts and deepest sympathies of everyone at Leevale AC remain with Ciarán’s family, his friends, teammates, and the wider athletics community at this profoundly difficult time.
