Rob Patterson was the first finisher of a small band of Leevale athletes who took part in the Churchtown South 5 Miler last night. The race, which is the third in the Ballycotton Summer Series, was held in very warm conditions. Rob finished 8th in 27:43 in a race won by Michael Harty of East Cork.
Irene Hartigan in 34:26 was the first Leevale finisher in the ladies’ race.

On Friday the Shannonvale 10K took place near Clonakilty where Mark Bickerdike was 1st M50.
The same evening, Carol Finn had a good win in the Gneeveguilla 1 Mile race in Barraduff.
