The AAI Intermediate & Masters Cross Country Championships took place last weekend in Dunboyne, Co. Meath. Only a few from the club took part but there were Leevale athletes to the fore in both men’s and women’s Masters races. In the women’s event, Carmel Parnell finished 14th overall, easily winning her category. In the men’s, Martin McCarthy was well in the mix up front, finishing 7th overall and 5th in the M40 category.
Meanwhile, the Ballygiblin 5K road race took place near Mitchelstown on Sunday, where Aisling Moran won the women’s race and Áine Moran finished 3rd.
