Day 3, the final day for the 2016 Athletics Ireland Juvenile T&F Championships was another successful day for Leevale athletes.
Tommy Connolly continues to improve as an all round athlete and today he proved this with a decisive victory in the BU15 1500m final. Wymin Sivakumar took gold in the BU15 triple jump with a massive 12.03m and Conor Morey made it a double gold with a decisive victory in the BU16 200m to add to the 100m victory.
Robert Twomey took silver in the BU15 200m.
In the hammer, Padraig O’Callaghan & Andre Christie both took bronze in their respective U17 & U19 competitions.
Rounding off the medal haul, Hannah Murphy took a super bronze in the GU17 high jump.
This has been one of the most successful juvenile championships for the club for many years and is testament to the dedication and efforts of the coaching team, with special mention to John Naughton, Derek Coffey, Denis Murphy & Eilis Ní Fhaolain

Congratulations to Conor Morey on his selection to represent Ireland in the upcoming Celtic Games to be held in Swansea on 6 August. Conor will compete in the 200m and 4×100 relay sprints.
