Leevale Juveniles Round Out Indoor Season In Style

The juvenile indoor season rounded out in style with the rescheduled Day 1 of the Irish Life Health Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone IT today (April 7).

The relays delivered high quality entertainment and competition, and Leevale were one of the star clubs, winning the U17, U18 and U19 boys’ 4x200m relays with the U13 girls winning the 4x100m relay and the BU15 finishing 3rd in their 4x200m.

It was great to see Leevale athletes competing in the pole vault, it was even better to see them medaling; Una Brice won the GU15 events with a vault of 2.25m. In the GU16 Sara Buckley finished joint 1st with a vault of 2.25m and Elena Collins finished 4th with 2.10m.

Reece Ademola finished just outside the medals in the BU16 long jump with 5.56m and Hannah Murphy also finished just outside the medals in the GU19 high Jump with 1.50m.

This has been the best indoor season for Leevale juveniles for many years. Well done to all the athletes and their hard working coaches.
